tasmāch chhāstraṁ pramāṇaṁ te kāryākārya-vyavasthitau jñātvā śhāstra-vidhānoktaṁ karma kartum ihārhasi
Chapter 16, Text 24
Therefore let scripture be your authority in deciding what should and should not be done; knowing what is declared there, you ought to act here. A chapter about two dispositions ends by handing over a standard outside oneself — which is precisely what the second disposition lacked.
